BrainTumor Awareness Month - Meet Pediatric Brain Tumor Survivor Maddie!

May is Brain Tumor Awareness month.Over 22,000 adults were diagnosed with brain tumors in the past year, but even more stunning is the fact that more children dies in the US from Brain tumors than any other disease.

The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation is the world’s leading nonprofit dedicated to childhood brain tumor research. Since 1991, it has funded and partnered with organizations to fund more than $44 million in scientific discovery and has played a leading role in fostering innovation in the field.

Ride for Kids is the longest-running, most successful motorcycle charity event in the nation. Since 1984, motorcyclists have raised funds to help children with brain tumors.

The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation calls the patients they assist "Stars". Madison Williams is one of those stars. She was diagnosed with her brain tumor at age 16. After 3 years, her battle continues, but she chooses to move forward and is an ambassador for PBTF and a friend to other "Stars". Madison and I will both be participating int he Annual Ride For Kids this Sunday. Listen to my podcast with Madison to hear her amazing journey and what she loves most about the Ride For Kids.
